Ren’s Story
Ren was born in Havre, Montana, as the oldest of three children. She grew up all over the state and still calls Montana home today. Married to her husband for many years, she is the mother of two. Ren graduated from Montana State University, managing to juggle a devoted husband, two adorable children, and a part time job (occasionally two jobs) for four years. She majored in Sociology and minored in Psychology — exactly the opposite of her beloved sister, who majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. After graduation, Ren utilized her degree by working in social services, first as a childcare assistance specialist and next as a social services specialist for the Office of Public Assistance. While her passion was working with disadvantaged families, her dream has always been to write fiction.
When Ren’s son became plagued by epileptic seizures, she had no choice but to quit work to stay home and care for him. It was at this time, in an effort to reduce the stress of caring for a disabled adult child, that she sat down to write her first book in the Fresh Fairytales series, Fractured Fairytale. It’s true that beautiful things can grow from hard times. Ren channeled her creativity and focused on Alyssa and Race’s love story to get through this difficult stage of life, and has carried on that passion for writing ever since. Ren is now in the process of re-publishing her first book under a new name. She has written book two of the series, Shattered Slippers, and book three of the series, Pixie Dust, is in the beginning stages.
Published Works
Ren Meadows published her debut novel, Fairy Tales and Horror Stories, in October of 2016 through New York City-based Page Publishing.
As she continues to sharpen her craft, she is now looking forward to re-publishing that novel as Fractured Fairytale: the finalized version of the love story she always wanted to tell.
Fractured Fairytale is the first in a three-book series. Today, Ren dedicates her time (whenever she isn’t with her family) to completing the next two books.
